KP-Aerofill Aerosol Equipment Modernizations

Below you will find some of our most common modernization options for the majority of our KP-Aerofill Aerosol Machines. FULL ELECTROMATIC CONTROLS UPGRADE:
R.A Jones will provide a standard Allen Bradley Upgrade Conversion Kit. Upgrade kit to include the typical components for the low voltage and high voltage equipment as well as the correlating equipment located within the explosion proof boundary. Additionally, this includes replacement of guard circuit wiring on machine and new HMI with Ethernet communications.  
BENEFITS: Proactive replacement of obsolete controls. (Ziatech PC based controls became obsolete in year 2000.  Tech Pub put out a bulletin notifying customer of the change)
LEAD TIME: 12-14 Weeks
INSTALLATION TIME: 4-7 Days

GASSER SHAKER, PRESSURE FILLER, CRIMPER, UNDERCAP FILLER UPGRADE:
R.A Jones will provide Engineering, programming and components required to upgrade Model 1695 Rotary Gasser Shaker, Model 1670 Rotary Pressure Filler, Model 1370 Rotary Crimper, and Model 1970 Rotary Undercap Filler machine listed above from FlexLogix PLC Processor, to the new CompactLogix PLC Processor platform. With this new platform the existing ControlNet communications will be converted to Ethernet communications and replaces obsolete and soon-to-be obsolete components.
BENEFITS: Proactive replacement of obsolete controls. (Flex I/O platform is obsolete.  Customer needs to upgrade to new Flex I/O ethernet platform.

PARTIAL ELECTROMATIC CONTROLS UPGRADE:
Replace the existing PLC, HMI and update with a new PLC, PanelView Plus HMI, PIEZO Panel, Powerflex 525 VFD, and associated mounting hardware. Update to EtherNet communications.
BENEFITS: Benefit is proactive replacement of obsolete controls. (The ControLogix PLC platform is obsolete. Customer needs to upgrade to current CompaqLogix Platform)
LEAD TIME: 8-10 Weeks
INSTALLATION TIME: 3 Days

IMPROVED LEVEL CONTROL FOR ROTARY ELECTROMATIC FILLER:
Field retrofit kit including ATEX pressure transducer and mounting with components to connect to control cabinet and components to control existing Ladish valve.
BENEFITS: Better accuracy of product level in the product bowl which results in better fill accuracy. Reduction in parts related to level control. Rotary Electromatics are times open gravity fillers which makes product lever control very important.

REEVES DRIVE TO VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE CONVERSION:
Provide variable frequency drive conversion kit for a small base rotary pressure filler.
BENEFITS: Proactive replacements of obsolete Reeves Drive Units.  (All Model 1951/1952 undercup fillers, model 1354 crimpers, and model 1651 pressure fillers could benefit)

AIR MANIFOLD CONVERSION ON PRODUCT PISTON FILLERS:
Provide components to replace the existing air center valve arrangement with non-contact cam actuated magnetic air pilot valves.
BENEFITS: Less wear parts. The old manifold system has metal on metal contact parts that wear fast. The new manifold system is no metal to metal contact that utilizes a non-contact magnetic prox switch to actuate each head.
LEAD TIME: 10-12 Weeks
INSTALLATION TIME: 4-5 Days
