Open House at Covington, KY: Celebrating 120 Years of Innovation and Community
On Saturday, September 6, our Covington, Kentucky facility hosted an unforgettable Open House to mark R.A Jones’ 120th anniversary.
The event brought together over 550 current and retired employees, as well as their guests, for a day filled with celebration of over a century of remarkable invention. We were honored to also welcome members of the R.A Jones founding family as they joined us for the day’s festivities.
The event was packed with activities for all ages, including live music, a photo booth, rock wall, and zipline. Attendees also enjoyed guided tours of the Covington facility, giving all guests a glimpse into the legacy and innovation that drive our work.
The highlight of the day was the dedication of an employee-made sculpture. The sculpture includes a time capsule to be opened in 2055 and will contain items prevalent to 2025 and our 120th anniversary.
The sculpture stands as a tribute to our shared history, teamwork, and the spirit of innovation that continues to define us.
R.A Jones was founded in 1905 by Ruel Anderson Jones, a dentist from Lexington, KY. Known for his entrepreneurial spirit, Dr. Jones left a remarkable imprint on the manufacturing industry.
As we celebrate our past, we continue to look to the future. We proudly build on the foundation R.A Jones established 120 years ago by leading in innovation to create groundbreaking packaging solutions, trusted here in Kentucky and around the world.
